Singapore Flyer New Year's Eve Countdown Highlight - The Escape

Lawrence and Priscilla Khong soared to new heights with The Escape, a death-defying stunt that left thousands spellbound and awestruck at the iconic Singapore Flyer.
During the final moments of 2010, Singapore's only father-and-daughter illusionist team delivered a spectacular escape act to usher in the New Year.
Minutes after being the first in Asia to receive the highest accolade in the world of magic – the Elite Diamond Merlin Award, the duo continued to fuel the evening with tension and suspense with The Escape.
Defying all logic and reason, Lawrence and Priscilla managed to escape from their locks and chains in a record time of 2 minutes and 45 seconds – while being locked inside an explosive-laden wooden crate and hoisted 50 feet above ground.
With The Escape, the award winning illusionists not only gave a new twist to the classic escape act, but also made a profound statement to define their unique brand of magic. It also further solidified their unwavering commitment to present innovative and cutting edge world-class performances to the audience and magic fraternity.

Christmas Magic

Singapore's only father-and-daughter illusionist team, Lawrence and Priscilla Khong celebrated 10 years of enthralling audiences and the spirit of Christmas with Christmas Magic at The MAX Pavilion from 17 to 19 December 2010. Christmas Magic. The event was a three-day illusion spectacle produced by Gateway Entertainment, which dazzled and mesmerized over 18,000 audiences with world class magic, music and dance by the Magic of Lawrence & Priscilla.
Lawrence said: "What inspired us to do Christmas Magic was really the overwhelming success we had in 2009 with Christmas Stomp which was staged at The MAX Pavilion to a sold-out crowd of 7,000. People loved what we presented to them. I think it revived, if not triggered, an interest in Magic of Lawrence & Priscilla's brand of theatrical entertainment where we combine elements of magic, music, drama and dance to go beyond the stereotypical magical performance."

"I am truly honoured to celebrate 10 years of working with my father in Magic of Lawrence & Priscilla with Christmas Magic. It was really exciting for both of us and memorable to celebrate this special moment with the audiences."
People's Association Staff Appreciation Dinner

2010 was a very special year for People's Association (PA) as they commemorated their 50th anniversary. Lawrence and Priscilla are honoured to work with PA again after Chingay Parade Singapore 2009 where the duo staged the prestigious grand finale act which was the first magic highlight in the parade's history watched by over 150,000 'live' audience and millions more through national and regional television broadcast.
Magic of Lawrence & Priscilla performance was one of the highlights at People's Association Staff Appreciation Dinner held at Resorts World Sentosa and the event graced by Guest of honour, Mr Lim Boon Heng (Minister, Prime Minister's Office and Deputy Chairman, People's Association). Lawrence and Priscilla wowed the ministers, grassroots leaders, PA management and staff with their world-class illusion acts.
